Just a few quick tips and guidelines for PbP roll play:
Play your characters as if they are real people. They're badass and hot, but they're still people that have needs and wants. Figure out what those are! The heart doesn't always follow logic, so what does yours follow?
Be descriptive! Don't just name the move you're making and roll dice. What do you do, exactly?
Ask questions! What do you want to know about the scene? Ask for details to help guide the descriptions as the scene develops.
One scene, one thread. I'll likely do prologues or opening shots to kick off each scene and name the players present. We'll post back and forth until the scene feels like it's coming to a close, at which point I'll call for final moves
If your character is leaving a scene and you want to open another scene revolving around what she's doing instead, feel free to create a thread for that. You can also jump into an active scene you weren't involved with, but ONLY IF IT MAKES SENSE IN THE FICTION. When in doubt send me a message and ask to be worked in.
Do conversations in chunks. People post at different times and have different schedules, so don't make a post asking one question. Spitball a bunch of questions and anecdotes that your character would probably have across a conversation and respond in kind, answering questions and building on the conversation. A little temporally disjointing, but I think we'll get the hang of it.
If anyone else has any ideas to make things flow or just best practices, please post!
